3 belt loops you absolutely must yank

you've been picking yourself up by your belt loops all wrong

We've all been in this situation: you've owned a pair of jeans for a few months, maybe a few years. Your tried and true method of pulling them up is the old pointer-finger-through-side-belt-loop-trick, and it works. Boy, does it work. Nothing is more satisfying than getting the chance to hike up your sagging pants. The least satisfying sensation? When your world starts moving in at half speed and you feel all those good memories with your belt loops fading away. Your right pointer finger whips upward, bringing the loose belt loop with it. It's that moment of horror, the gasp of shock when you don't want to look down to see your worst nightmare.

Your belt loop has ripped off. Not completely, just the bottom attachment. All that's left is a dangling piece of fabric and a pea-sized hole that you wonder how long you can cover up for until someone notices.

This moment truly is one of betrayal.

That's why I've curated a highly sought after belt loop review, so this never happens to you again.

Carhartt

Ah, Carhartt, the classic workingperson's brand. With work, comes strength, and with strength, means a higher chance of yanking those belt loops out, right? WRONG. Carhartt is as sturdy as they come. Double stitching for double the durability. If you look closely at the stitching on Carhartt pants, you'll see that they are tightly bound, reducing any risk of rippage. I own two pairs of these bad boys and not once have I been afraid of them betraying me. Not only that, but they have more belt loops than the average pair of pants. This way, your belt stays more snug and won't ride up. This is a win-win situation.

Levi's

Levi's are not only an American icon of apparel, they are a durable icon of apparel. When one thinks "jeans," one of the first images is a pair of Levi's. While I don't own a pair myself, a good friend of mine let me tug on her belt loop to get a feel for their strength. And yes, they are strong. She even gave a testament to the longevity of them.

"They've never ripped." - Sadie A.

Sadie is an avid worker and pants-puller-upper, giving her statement one of great respect. Plus, with the tug I gave her belt loop almost knocking her over, I'd say those loops are worthy of some respect as well.

L.L. Bean

If you're from anywhere in New England, you already know of L.L. Bean's sway on the outsiders of the world. I mean, c'mon, their whole brand is about going outside and getting down and dirty. Go shovel your driveway, hike a mountain, race your dog down the street, anything to get you moving and grooving. A vital part to this grooving? Pants that stay up. Or more so, pants that can withstand how much you may need to pull them up. The material itself is one that allows for more grip in the stitching, allowing for a good tug upward.

Not only that, but how good does it feel to be a New Englander and have the ability to say, "Oh these? They're from L.L. Bean." Again, win-win.

Now that you've gotten the full review for the best belt loops around, go on and test them for yourself. Give every loop a good and firm tug before buying, take a close look at the stitching, and always, always check the reviews.

My only other piece of advice: ask before tugging on random people's belt loops.
